Really Affordable Cameras

Everyone who looks at my blog knows I like pinhole photography, and I was happily surprised by an email link from my friend Clayton. The link was to a site that had several pinhole cameras you can download as a pdf, print out, cut and fold and make paper pinhole cameras. Very cool. I've downloaded a couple to try out. Vapid Media Coverage

Daily, we have news story after news story about nothing. This is the most exciting election I've ever witnessed, but to find out what each candidate's position is on whatever issue I'm concerned about, I really have to dig. All the media seem to want to cover is the latest poll results, delegate counts, or what candidate "A" accused candidate "B" of saying, usually out of context, of course. A few of yesterday's headlines:
"Poll: Obama Leads McCain"
"Clinton: Neither Candidate Has Reached 'Magic Number'"
"Obama Inching Ever Closer To Nomination"
"Despite Tough Odds, Clinton Staying In Race"
Nothing about their plans for Iraq, health care, the economy, education, etc. There was a tiny flurry of good coverage when they interviewed economists about the "gas tax holiday," but mostly the coverage is about predicting who will win. It sucks.
Well, in 2000 we learned "hanging chad," in 2004 we learned "swiftboating," and in 2008 we've learned "super-delegate." At least we've learned something...
