I interned at Mountain Stage when I was in college (long ago) and got the chance to get some photos of Robyn Hitchcock and R.E.M. when they performed there. These shots appeared in the Mountain Stage book, which is worth owning, if you can find it.
I saw a cool shot in the Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day gallery by a fellow named Ma Sai Chong in Hong Kong. He made a camera and put two strips of 35mm film in it. I thought it was a neat idea, so I did what most of us do. I copped the idea, chopped it, supercharged it, added Thrush Pipes, and loaded THREE strips of 35mm in one of my paint-can cameras (a Nikan? Can-on?). Here's the result. Beat that, Mr. Hong Kong!
Last Thursday, the 10th, Amee and I celebrated our 16th anniversary. We went out for a nice dinner and stayed up too late. I look forward to at least 100 more.
Greatest Villain from Marvel Comics: Doctor Doom--genius, dictator, all-around kickass bad guy. He shot the Baxter Building into space! Greatest Villain from DC: Darkseid--genius, dictator, rules a whole friggin' planet! A nod the the Joker, the coolest homicidal maniac in comicdom. Somebody weigh in on this; I know you all have your own fave and reasons for it. Roll up and gimme your 2 cents worth!
Two shots I took while Amee was making some pinhole images, and a pinhole image of my girls and my nephews. This one was taken with my 4x5 home-made pinhole camera.
We did quite a bit of digging and planting this weekend. As usual, when you dig in front of my house, you always find various and sundry items lost in days gone by. This time we found a toy soldier, the legs of a cowboy, a baby arm, and an axe for a Big Jim action figure. And a bunch of marbles.
